At Postcrossing, we are committed to protecting your privacy, and have therefore developed this Privacy Policy to explain how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from https://shop.postcrossing.com (the “Shop”).


PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Shop (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations).  Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

  • Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
  • When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.


We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Shop (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Shop, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).



SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. We also partner with an on-demand order fulfilment company to process the orders as well as produce some of the items we sell.

 

We may also share information with third parties regarding investigations, judicial enquiries and legal or administrative procedures when required to do so by law, or to otherwise protect our rights.

TRANSFERRING INFORMATION INTERNATIONALLY

Additionally, if you are a European resident note that when we transfer any personal information to a third party service provider in a country which is not a member state of the E.U., we will comply with the applicable legislation, in particular, we will make sure there is an adequate level of protection offered to personal information and we will not transfer personal information to services in jurisdictions that do not provide adequate safety and security guarantees.



DATA RETENTION

When you place an order through the Shop, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.



LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES OR SERVICES

The Shop may contain links to third party websites. These third party websites and the way they process collected information are the sole responsibility of their owners, and therefore, Postcrossing is not responsible for their privacy policies and/or practices.


 

CHANGES

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
